Dean Esmay is talking about Cindy Sheehan and how she has been changing her story.

I thought it might be of interest for some to see her columns over at the libertarian site LewRockwell.com. They're full of bitterness, as only a mother who has lost her son can be.

If you're going to talk about a person, at least read what they have to say. Not that you agree, but in the interest of fairness. This even applies to screeds written by the Kossites. It shows their true nature. It's easy to dismiss it, but once you've experienced it first-hand, it becomes tangible.

An Iraqi Response
The other day I posted on Cindy Sheehan. Mohamed, over at Iraq The Model has a very moving response. It's nothing we don't already know from Iraq, but it's the response of someone who lived in a country where people really were killed for no reason. I re Comment (1)

Sure you can read them, but honestly, having been part of the war debate for three years now, I have yet to hear or read anything from anyone on that side that I haven't already heard dozens of times before.

Dean, thanks for stopping by. I am very much aware of the insanity of the anti-war crowd. Unfortunately, in Germany (where I am currently living) the anti-war crowd doesn't even bother to express itself in a way that evokes any sympathy. At least this lady has PR experience.

Over here, it's all shouting anti-US slogans, etc. And since teaching children to believe in "peace" is part of the official purpose of the schools over here, they even take school classes to participate in anti-war demonstrations during school hours. If you think it's optional, you're mistaken.

The main reason I linked to the source, though, was in the interest of full disclosure. That's one of the things I like best about (conservative) blogs. They present their side of the story, but usually link to the other side, too. I think that's part of the liberal tradition (in the traditional sense of the term). The MSM doesn't even bother any more, so we've got to hold the standard up.

I'm confused by this whole Pro/Anti-War thing.

I think the war was wrong, but I think pulling out now would also be wrong. What does that make me? Eventually the US will pull its troups out of Iraq, at that point will I be pro-War when all of you will be anti-War?
